Sabowl STORIED (vol. 1)

In an effort to bring the greatness of the Sabowl, we would like to introduce a new aspect call Sabowl STORIED. Sabowl STORIED will be articles and documentary series that explores the rich history of the Sabowl.

Pre-surgery. Ready to resume Sabowl greatness.

You may be aware that former Sabowl Champion (Sabowl IX) recently had potentially Sabowl career ending surgery. Following her Toilet Bowl performance from last season, she realized something had to be done.

Where did she turn? Where the best go….Dr. James Andrews. “World–class athletes, weekend warriors, youth athletes and everyday people have access to state–of–the–art performance training and health care services conveniently located in Gulf Breeze, Florida at the Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine. Under the leadership and reputation of internationally renowned orthopaedic sports surgeon Dr. James Andrews”

Christina commented following the surgery, “RGIII, Sam Bradford, Todd Gurley, and  Terrell Owens are just a few of the many elite athletes like myself who have chosen the Andrews Institute for their surgery needs.”

It appears that the surgery has definitely helped Christina with her Sabowl performance. She recently ran off a potentially record 12 straight wins. Sabowlmetric experts are looking into the record books to confirm. Going into the New Years Day bowl games, she is tied for the lead with Jonathan. She is looking forward to a strong finish.

“Walking into the building gives you a sense of excitement, I felt like I was with my people. Pictures of athletes adorning the walls. I don’t know how today or the rest of the Sabowl season will play out but I’d love to send my picture to the Andrews Institute while holding the coveted Sabowl. They could add that picture to the walls to give others hope. Pressing on to a 2020 win!”

Coming off a tough Sabowl XIII season where Christina earned the Toilet Bowl has changed her perspective. One thing that we have not seen this year is the “Christina Smugness” that we have come to appreciate in the Locker Room. We are not sure if this will resurface as she works toward another Sabowl win.

Dr. Andrews was not available for comment at the time of article publishing but does intend to make himself available to sit with Christina and the rest of the family during the Championship Game.

Key questions:
What state will the Sabowl be living in 2020?
Are Stephen and Julian working together? Sort of a Ricky Bobby and Cal Naughton Jr. sort of thing? Shake and Bake!
Will Jonathan refusing to pick Georgia come back to bite him?
Will Sabowl For Kids standings be updated today?
Will we have more than 15 comments in the Locker Room?

Notes for today:
1. Games and teams are not super exciting in regards to match ups from a football perspective. Just a good day of good ole’ Sabowl competition.

2. Look to see some early leaders come up through the leaderboard early today.  We have seven games on the schedule just today. We will be almost a quarter through the competition. Remember that an early start does not equate success.  April in Sabowl II would be the exception.

3. Current Leaderboard
5 people are still in contention for the first ever undefeated season at 2-0.
We have 2 people who are in contention for the coveted prize of going winless.
*Note: I have this desire to achieve this feat one day just because I feel like it would be just as impressive.
