We hope that everyone had a great Christmas. It is now back to some Sabowl action. We have a big day ahead of us.
If you look at the standings, you can see that we are in the midst of a great battle. Everyone is still in the fight (except Jonathan).
Let’s see what the day holds.
Will anyone step out as a leading contender?
Will gritty, determined Stephen begin a charge to the front?
Will we reach 100 comments in the Locker Room?
Will Jonathan fall further behind in his hopes for glory?
Will there be any more I-Team investigations?
Will Ellen make anymore appearances in the Locker Room?
Will the Sabowl competition be picked up by a major sponsor?
If so, will the Sabowl accept it due to nothing really being worthy of that honor?
Will Bitcoin be a key part of currency exchange in the near future?
Who is Lane and why is he so quick?
So many questions. We will only wait to see.
On a closing note…thank you to Josh for again taking the Sabowl to another level with the new animated look of the Sabowl. I know that I will be able to enjoy this experience even more with that little guy looking at me and even waving. It gives me hope to the day that the actual Sabowl will have a face and arms. Thanks again Josh. Great job.
Take a look at Josh being followed by a giant Sabowl imposter.

Great post babe, and here I thought you were sitting around all morning playing tiger woods golf on jack’s ds…. I underestimate your sneakiness 🙂
Thanks babe!
I don’t know why you would have thought that.
We have a possible “Blame It On The Spread” game in the works. La. Tech with a small lead down the stretch.
Good strategy. On 3rd down, lets fumble and let the other team pick it up and we will force them to fumble and then recover that to get a first down.
That’s a play that takes balls to pull off.
That was brutal, I knew that was my last shot at the spread.
La. Tech can take control here. 10 point lead. Good field position with 5 minutes to go. Favorites with 6.5 spread.
If it’s a #blameitonthespread game, something in this house will be smashed!
Not sure what yet but something close by at the end of the game so probably cookies.
Alright I’m feeling better about this game. I’ll eat these cookies instead.
Glad you feel better. Not really close at the end. The fumble play really paid off.
’tis the season.
After the first game today, we have 7 people tied for first place.
Another 5 people are only one game back.
That means that 12 people are only separated by one game after 11 total games in. Pretty impressive.
Correction:
4 people are one game back. That means that 11 people are within one game of game of each other.
Not as impressive but still good.
…and then there is Jonathan.
And young, determined, gritty Stephen is displaying an unquestionable perseverance in getting back on some winning ways. Keep it up.
Little known fact – Wes Lunt, Illinois’ backup quarterback who you may have seen in 18 plays after Illinois’ starting qb got hammered into the ground any one of the 18 times it happened, is from the Springfield area.
What’s more interesting about Wes is that he started his collegiate career at a school called Oklahoma State under head coach Mike Gundy.
You may be familiar with Mike Gundy due to this gem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aoMmbUmKN0E

That is simply amazing. How old is Mike Gundy now these days?
He’s a man he’s 40!!!
He’ll always be 40 in my mind.

Ellie has entered the locker room ladies and gen]’/’

Welcome Ellie.
That is the most intelligent comment that we have seen all day.
Still awaiting word to see if North Carolina is actually going to come out for the 2nd half…will update here as soon as we find out.
I think most of the team stayed home to study.
That was a solid 2-1 day for me. I think my picks are starting to buy in and see what is really important for the big picture. Don’t count out #12 in the standings yet.
