Tiebreaker SABOWL XIII Version

For the fourth, fifth, maybe even sixth time in SABOWL history, the SABOWL has come down to the final game! We don’t know exactly how many times we’ve had a tiebreaker situation because our SABOWL history page kind of sucks.

Nonetheless, here is our situation. We are down to Michael and Danny for SABOWL gold and tonight’s championship game will decide who wins SABOWL XIII.

The tiebreaker rules are as follows:
(1) Each competitor must predict the combined total number of points that will be scored in the National Championship by both teams. The person closest without going over wins.
(2) The tiebreaker for the tiebreaker is a prediction of how many points will be scored via field goal during the game.

The picks are in and here they are…
Danny predicts 61 total points and 12 points through field goals.
Michael predicts 31 total points and 12 points through field goals.

The Locker Room is open for anyone who would like to wish Michael and Danny luck or anything else!

I find it ironic they were airing the insurance commercial with Aaron Rodgers talking about how defense wins championships with how this game as been going so far.

The pace is slowing down. Could that missed field goal come into play for the SABOWL?

53 total points, quarter and a half to go

    Wow, stuck at 60 points.

This is why the SABOWL matters.

Feel really bad about Saban getting embarrassed by an ACC team here.

Saban deserves the embarrassment. Clearly did not have his team ready. After this game we might have good argument to end the college championship game.

The I-Team is working on a story that Michael has filed a protest for the Boise State-Boston College game and wants that to count towards his overall record to help secure the Sabowl Championship.

It is a bold strategy considering that Danny picked the same team.

I agree with Josh. This is the National Championship game. The game is over yet we are still watching to see how the Sabowl ends.

I’m not just watching, I’m anxious about what’s going to happen in these last two minutes? Field goal? Take a knee? Craziness

This might be the college football game I watch for a few years. I cant watch dabo’s kittens rule college football.

The whole SABOWL decided by 1 point. SABOWL XIII is in the books.

Danny this is brutal, I’ve felt this pain before. Two years ago almost ended my SABOWL careeer. You will rise from the ashes, much like Clemson has under Dabo’s leadership.

Michael, congratulations. I want to say nice things to you but I’m too freaking jealous.

Yes Josh. I believe i will be retiring after this year. I cant take the beating at my age. Between the spread and Saban’s antics tonight I think ill just go to the senior center and play dominos.

Agreed Josh. I believe I am at the the end of my Sabowl career. I will use the off season to evaluate my options. I must take losing by 1 point while being so close to perfection as a sign that I am supposed to be doing something else with my time. OR, maybe I am just a loser.

    Seriously Saban, 16 points!!

Seriously Tide and Tigers, you both miss a PAT!

Seriously Sabowlers, next year I am not playin y’all. I am wrapping the win up in the first 26 games.

I, for one, am thankful for a good half-time show and my decision to head to bed just after that. I can’t imagine what I must have missed, but Julian was awake and I have no doubt further educated in the Sabowl doctrine!
    Love you all!
