Congrats to the SABOWL VIII Champion

It is official, everyone except for one person has this image running through their minds.

wreckingsabowlThat’s right!  The SABOWL has left a huge hole in your upcoming decorating plans for the upcoming year.  For me it will be a daily reminder of the 8 years of failure that I have suffered through.

With that being said, We officially have a SABOWL VIII CHAMPION.

Congratulations to Rebecca.  I must admit this is the first time that I have congratulated her due to my Sabowl Syndrome.  Rebecca now joins an elite group of Sabowl Champions that includes Michael, April, Jimmy, Danny/Stephen, and Josh.

We still have some interesting story lines remaining for Sabowl VIII.

Who will collect the 2nd and 3rd place positions?

Emily, Joey, Jim, Jonathan, Michael, Joe, and Stephen all have their eyes on these positions.

Who will collect the coveted Sabowl Toilet?

Christina, Danny/Julian, Stephen, Ellen, Jimmy, Michael, and Jim all are still in contention for that.

now to the games for tonight.

AT&T Cotton Bowl

Missouri vs. Oklahoma State

7:30 pm on Fox

The SABOWL would not be complete without showing this Mike Gundy video, If you need information about Mike Gundy feel free to check out the Dictionary.

I think that tells you enough about the Cotton Bowl.  Should be a pretty good game.  Interesting to see how Missouri performs since the SEC has not performed as well as usual in this SABOWL season.

Discover Orange Bowl

Ohio State Vs. Clemson

8:30 pm on ESPN

This game features 2 of the most notorious teams that compete during the SABOWL season.  Many of us were left with a dilemma in this selection.  Should we choose Ohio State(who may trade their jerseys for tattoos and show up bare chested), Clemson(Read paragraph 2 to find out what else may happen) or none of the above.

According to Josh, Ohio State made headlines during SABOWL I.  During this heated battle for the inaugural SABOWL, it all came down to the National Championship Game.  Michael had the opportunity to win it all with Florida, and Josh had the opportunity to win it all with Ohio State.  I think we all know where this story goes and I will leave it to Michael and or Josh to elaborate if they would like.

I think that everyone remembers the brutal beating in this same Orange Bowl that Clemson suffered as the favorite against West Virginia in SABOWL VI.  Many say that this is one of the worse beatings in the modern SABOWL Era.  West Virginia won that game 70 – 33.  What many people do not know is that Clemson decided to load the bus at half time to beat the traffic back to South Carolina.  A local Middle School team was selected to head out for the 2nd half.  West Virginia showed no mercy on them and the rest is history.

Good luck to all and I hope to see you in the Locker Room.  Lets Enjoy the remaining moments we have before the smell becomes unbearable and they turn the lights off.

And now it is closed. The SABOWL is out for dinner. Will be out the remainder of the season. Closed for #girley-fyit renovations. The SABOWL has left the building. The SABOWL has entered the witness protection program – after its stay in Illinois – anyone surprised?

Last I heard the SABOWL was heading for amish country. It’ll be tough to find it there. I dropped a tear as I caught the last glimpse of it…beard Velcro’d on and top hot resting on its head

          How about these?

          1. National Championship Pick.
          2. Predict the Total Points Scored in National Championship.
          3. Rebecca said she should just pick the loser.

I am so excited!!! Can’t wait to get started on the transformation of the Sabowl. Could it hold my plants? Could it serve as a dog bowl for our future dog? The possibilities are endless….

Cat house. Bowling ball – pins will have pictures of those who have never won. Punch Bowl. Fill with lead and use it for fishing weight. Possibilities really are endless.

Clemson will probably not show. I promised myself I would never pick Clemson again and somehow did this year. Of course it really doesn’t matter.

Well, I certainly have some short term memory issues. I did not pick Clemson. Of course it still really does not matter.

Anyone watching the games? I stopped watching at the end of 3rd quarter of the embarrassing Alabama performance last night.

I liked the Internship, we’re watching Modern Family reruns and I’m reading books for school. Checking out ESPN every so often.

Congratulations Rebecca, I don’t know what is more exciting, you getting to get the Sabowl or the possibility of seeing Ellie Beth while retrieving it.
I am the other person who has competed in EIGHT agonizing Sabowls and never tasted victory. I have been in second place three times and last place three times while currently in a battle for the Sabowl Toilet again. Here are some quotes that sum things up for me.

“If you ain’t first, you’re last” – Ricky Bobby
“Second place is just the first place loser” Dale Earnhardt

I’ll finish with a quote from Gabe Paul (From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)
    Rochester, New York
    Died April 26, 1998 (aged 88)
    Tampa, Florida
    Nationality American
    Occupation Major League Baseball executive
    Religion Judaism

Gabriel Howard Paul (January 4, 1910 – April 26, 1998) was an American executive in Major League Baseball who served as general manager of the Cincinnati Reds, Houston Colt .45’s, Cleveland Indians, and New York Yankees. He also served as president of the Indians and Yankees.

“There is no such thing as second place, either you’re first or you’re nothing”

It’s almost as if he knew about the Sabowl!!

    Love y’all,

    Christina
    Sometimes first loser
    sometimes last
    always hopeful for victory
